I have a windup clock in my 122s. Is it stock or something the PO put in there? thanks.

Wind up clock in my 122s 120-130

    It was added by someone.

Six day clocks are getting rare as hen's teeth. I would like to own one but the market is way too high for my thin wallet. Even the one's being salvaged from a zillion and one Russian aircraft and sold on eBay are stupid expensive.

Are there any markings on the clock that would give us a clue as to the manufacturer?

      Shannon,

What exactly is a "six day clock" - a quick google search revealed nothing.

It's an 8 day clock that needs a good CLA.

Basic domestic clocks used to be wound everyday but for more money, sometimes a lot more, you could get an 8 day clock to enable you to wind it up once a week. These needed a bigger and better spring. It's a bit of a challenge to make a small clock which can run eight days. The clock mentioned could be a good quality aircraft cockpit clock and these are sought after by rally enthusiasts especially if has stop/start button.

This clock appears to be a 2 1/2" gauge. The only marking is "8 Days" under the 12. 3,6,9,12, on a black face with yellow markings and yellow second, minute and hour hands. Moves a second at a time. It has the winder in the face of the gauage.
