As you probably know the 88-90 760 were "test mules" for the 960 series, so there are some important differences, most not mechanical. Although the hood is different, the front suspension, radiator, engine control (AMM, ECC, ABS, etc), turbo, trans are the same as 700s. For specific spares: front lighting, wiper arms, hood strut gas shocks (inserts), the climate control computer and any dash parts. The plastic gets brittle over time even though the upper dash itself is more resistant to cracking than other 700s. FYI, the headliner, unlike other 700s, doesn't separate from the roof! If you have a sedan, the tail lights are specific to this model and year. They resemble the '90-740 lights, but are a few inches wider. I have a spare set of carpets from Strandberg, who claim they are the same as in a 960. They differ from 740 or 940 because they appear more plush and insulated.
Some personal rambling . . . I wanted to keep my 760 close to OEM, but have retrofitted R134, replaced the radio with an Alpine head unit and Boston Acoustics speakers, and installed Boge Gas front struts, upper and lower chassis braces and a 25mm front sway bar. Great improvement in the ride and handling. I highly recommend those suspension mods. Although it generally isn't a good idea to upgrade only one sway bar, the Nivomats somewhat compensate by helping to keep the rear more level. Summer projects are installing a rear sway bar from a 960 and Euro headlights. At 225K miles, only uses .5 Qt Mobil1 in 3K.
Hope this helps. Enjoy the car.
