Angry Bees in my fuel pump 200 1987

I have a loud buzzing in my main fuel pump. Just bought the car and don't know the history. Is the buzzing due to restriction in the fuel system, or is it a sign the pump is on the way out? Thanks, jdl

it usually indicates your tank pump is not working. The main is working hard to keep up.
