Antifreeze fluid leak 200 1981

Hello All!

Wifemobile producing light smoke from dash area, I'm thinking blower motor.
Today found a puddle of antifreeze on the passenger floor mat. That must be what is burning. Has anyone seen that before? Where is it coming from?
The fluid reservoir is low, no puddles on the ground.

The antifreeze is probably leaking from one of the following sources:

1: Heater control valve that is mounted between the heater assembly and the firewall, a pain to replace, but doable.

2: Heater hoses running from the firewall above the gas pedal to the heater control valve, and then to the top of the heater assembly if I recall correctly.

3: Heater core inside the heater/fan assembly has sprung a leak. Unfortunately, assuming it is like / similar to a 92 heater setup, replacement requires dash and heater / fan assembly removal. Search the BB for blower fan replacement... for your sake, I HOPE you don't have to do this job.

I will search for that leak tonight. Looks like the dash is coming off. I did a blower motor replacement on my 1993 240 last year, I have the scars on my knuckles to prove it!
