OK, first TYank you to everyone who shared their knowledge & experience with me. Turned out that someone had taken the flywheel off of my car amd reinstalled it out of position. The person I bought the car from said they had been driving it and it just quit. Aparently not so!! Just wanted to let everyone know how it panned out.

      I'm with you.. There are some things that you just assume are constants. Teh Flywheel being one of them. Especially when you are told it was running then died.

      As I recall, it was the only thing that he HADN'T checked. I also recall he was VERY THOROUGH in describing the situation and what he had already done in attempt to fix it. That goes a long way in getting to the root of the problem.

      Congatulations, Turbowagon!! (Was that transmission heavy?)

        Thanks for that link. Now that I know the evolution of the problem and resolution, I am truly impressed with the tenacity and resolve to find and fix the problem. And, I am in awe of the information machine that is the Brickboard. ;-)
