Rogue Windshield Wipers 200 1989

Hi there. I'm new here and looking for some help. I have an 89 240 wagon and last week during a storm, my front windshield wipers started going and now they won't stop. There's a sweet spot on the wiper handle, where if I apply a bit of pressure, they'll stop but only if I hold onto it. Any advice and/or instruction would be greatly appreciated!

Time for a new wiper switch assembly. The top and bottom covers of the steering column are held on with screws that go in from the bottom. Once you have the covers off, there should be two screws holding the wiper switch assembly to the column. Job takes about an hour.
