1986 240DL Cruise Control 200 1986

Does anyone have a copy of the Volvo instructions for installing cruise control in a 1986 240DL? I'm looking in the local pick and pull yards for a cruise system, but need the instructions. Thanks.

I have removed the cruise control from my 89. It was not in operating condition, due to some disconnected vacuum lines and broken tees. If you are interested in the parts, I will sell them cheap. I haven't removed the stalk switch yet. It will probably be a little while (days---weeks) before I find a plain replacement. I don't have the installation instructions. Send me an email if you are interested in the parts.

I have the Volvo instructions. I will send you via Priority Mail all 17 multi-linguage pages. Email me direct for details.

When you find a CC-equipped car, I think that all 240s 1986-1989 are the same. Take some photos before pulling it. Be sure to get the brass fitting off the intake manifold for vacuum supply, and the left side steering column stalk.

Be careful when removing the three wires from the connecter to that stalk. Don't crack the plastic, don't break off the tabs on the female connectors.

    Good Luck,

    Bob

PS. I installed a JY system (bought on eBay) on my '88, it looks like the system on my '86 except the '88 installation is neater.
