Harmonic Balancer 200 1993

When i removed the crank bolt which hods the balancer and pulley on i did not see the key ,i see where it should be but it has disappeared,it does have one right?
I looked around under the car but it is gone, maybe i can run a magnet around under there and find it.
Where would be a good place to get one?If i can not find the old one.

I just answered my own question,on my 240 there is no key in the crank slot, there are is a protrusion on the crank gear that meshes with the hole in the belt guide(big washer) this also fits into the pully/balancer.

Once these are lined up it is apparent where TDC is on the crank.

If I recall correctly, the "key" is part of the cog on the crank that drives the timing belt, at least on a B230F, B230L is probably the same.
