radio suppression coil-intank pump - 700 1990

I am replacing intank fuel pump on a Regina system, and found the inline copper radio supression coils to be all corroded. The replacement fcpgroton pump comes with a quick connect harness. What will happen if I snip off the two copper coils and run power supply direct to pump terminals? Has anyone had any radio interference? I remember removing the coils from the heater fan during replacment years ago, with no ill effect.

I'll answer my own question by telling you that I ended up sniping off the coils because they didn't look so healthy after 18 yrs in the tank. Soldered wires onto new pump and there is absolutely no radio interference. I am still not sure why the Swedes wen to all this trouble. I found the same coils on the heater blower motor and did a lobatomy there too, with no ill effects.
