Hi all

Need some help, i am in the process of redoing the front end steering and suspension.
I was undoing the sway bar mount on the chasis rail and the welded nut inside the chasis broke, i cant see any way to get to it, need help on how i can fix this problem? is there any tricks?

    Hi Neills,

    No flood of responses yet.

    Can you see the other side of that chassis member?
    maybe you can clear the busted bolt out of there with a cut off tool/dremel etc.
    and use a long bolt right through the member? Gotta see it.

    maybe some body shop guru or auto welder can weld in a new nut?

      You're probably going to have to grind the head off the bolt to get the clamp off. You'll probably never going to take if off again so just drive it to a muffler shop with one bolt in place and have them weld the other end.
