89 760 turbo wagon, in tank fuel pump 700

Need to know how I access the fuel pre pump. I opened the cargo area hatch and removed the spare tire and found what appears to be a fuel line and electric connections near the fuel fill pipe. However the hole does not appear to be large enough to remove the pre pump. Is there a panel that needs to be removed, or is there access under the rear seats.

Thanks,

Mike

I puzzled over this too on my 740 wagon.
Lay the rear seats down. lift up the spring loaded floor panels which form the floor when seats are flat, 3 bolts remove the spring loaded floor panel.
Remove those 3 bolts and pull the panel towards the windshield to get it out.
Then you can see the pump access panel.

Before removing the pump/sender unit besure to mark the 12:00 position on the round cap/lid, it has to go back in precisely same position or the pickup won't reach the bottom of the tank, theres supposedly a 12 o'clock mark but I didn't one.

Baker, I'll give it a try.
