Jorrell's Resto-mod 245 in ipd's newsletter 200

Well, I just got my new IPD newsletter in the mail, on right on page 3 was an article by our board's own Jorrell. Having been an active reader of the board for a while now I had become familiar with a couple of the stories he shared, and altogether it was a very nice piece. Congrats to you Jorrell for the nice write-up, pictures and most importantly the work you put into your 245! I know you have helped me out of a few jams in the past so I was glad to see your piece in the newsletter.

Nik:

Thank you for posting this, it is greatly appreciated! As Redwood Chair put it, reppin' the Two Four Oh! In my mind, that's what the article was primarily about, that being said, my Wife and I are very pleased with IPD products, so they deserve some kudos as well. Cameron over at IPD who apparently puts the newsletter together (and probably a lot more) did a great job (IMHO) and didn't put words in my mouth, ie. he published what I wrote without "fluffing it up"... that is what I call respect and is consistent with all the dealings I've had with IPD.

I did provide IPD with a CD containing all images of the build (many of which showed up on the BB long ago), so there may be a few more pics that show up here and there....

Your brick is no slouch either and looks downright sweet, you should be proud of your work as well, heck, everyone should be on this forum!

Sorry I've been a bit "absent" around here lately, work has been wild and we are building a new office in our basement here at home. In any case, lets keep these bricks rollin', safe, and more fun than ever!

ps. When it comes to tinting, I found out this week that the tinting on the passenger side failed inspection by 2% (too dark), so on Friday it goes in for a re-tint. In NC, 35% is the limit with a 3% margin, just hoping the tint shop can find film that matches!

I agree with you all that Jorrell's car is a beauty! It's obvious that lots of love went into this project. I'm glad I could include the feature on your car in our most recent RWD newsletter - I only with I could have fit more from the info you sent!
If any of you other guys have some fun projects email me some info - camerond@ipdusa.com
Keep 'em rollin' guys!

Weather:

Here is a link to one of my old posts on the project: http://brickboard.com/RWD/index.htm?id=1184116

It at least covers the engine work keeping in mind that the engine itself was ragged due to the classic PO abuse. The engine came out of a 90 244.

The B230F I'm in the process of building now (for more nefarious purposes) originally came out of the 92 245 with 236K miles (perfect PO care), the block needed tanked and a light hone job on the cylinders... even the slugs were still in spec! The only block mods are the addition of oil squirters and a hole for the oil return line... more to follow on that project.

Sorry folks, I forgot to say the most important thing... that project would have never been started let alone successfully completed without the Brick Board! So a special thank you goes out to Jarrod and all of those who helped me out (too numerous to list, let alone count!) Your input has been and always will be greatly appreciated, my hat is off to the BB!
