For those that might be interested there is Volvo 245 in a Hallmark movie called Daniel's Daughter. Its on again next Friday at 9.00pm on the HLMRK channel. I pretty sure its a diesel. I haven't watched it yet but saw alot of footage of the Wagon while taping it.

TV: There is an 88 or 89 244GL in season 4, episode 3 or 4 of the HBO series "Six feet under" driven by the character "George". Grab handle above door on the driver's side is missing. Car looks to be dark gray metallic and seems to be in decent shape.

Almost every time I see a Volvo 240 in a pretty new movie, it ends in a car accident. Sad thing. Is that because the 200s are pretty cheap while still maintains some class at 20 years of age? I don't know. Seems like the car is used when the movie makers want to describe an educated middle class environment, but can't afford to ruin a V70.

Anyway, I just saw a very nice scene involving healing a slick 245. It was one of the last episodes of the first season of Heroes (e22 I think). I might be able to make a youtube clip.

There is a nice 240 in the movie 27 dresses. It actually plays a "supporting" role in the film.

Today my wife commented that nearly every movie seems to have a Volvo in it. Specifically, a rwd Volvo. Seems to be the case.

I think I saw a 245 in "World According to Garp" (Robin Williams?). Didn't notice it on the website (might have missed it).

Also website doesn't contain ads. In Toronto, there's one for Leons(?) furniture. "Start the car! Start the car!" It's interesting how they're still digging up old 240s for modern commercials when there's such a selection out there. 240s are unique.

Saw another 240 in an ad this week. Red 245 (like at top of page only pointing in other direction) on a snowy mountain road in a Rogers cell phone commercial. Youth inside takes photo of driver and posts it on you-tube(?). 240 volvo wagons are hip/cool/happening (or whatever the "with-it" term is these days)? Or maybe its the color.
