Vibration Analysis

Good morning Brickboard,

I am at work and really shouldn't be here right now. ;-)

I shouldn't have been here either:
http://www.vibratesoftware.com/html_help/html/Diagnosis/Engine_Speed_Related.htm

But, I was and I am.

That web site has some of the best and most straightforward information on vibration I've encountered. Not to be missed if you are plagued with a chronic undiagnosed vibration.

I wonder if a chromatic musical instrument tuner would work for this with the
proper sensor (a clip-on probe with a point or weighted reed, for example)....
You'd have to know which octave it was - some tuners indicate this and others don't.
