1979 245 help! ut stalls! 200 1979

Help! When the weather is good and the air is dry it works fine when either hot or cold. But when it's raining and the air is damp either in summer or in winter it stalls. Engine starts fine but stalls in two-three seconds. A single way to drive is to push accelerator pedal stronger. After five minutes of driving everything is okay, i can start and stop without a problem. Also it a bit helps at the beginning of driving to turn headlights off. What it could be? A battery and a fuel filter are new. CIS fuel injection system (not a carburetor). Thanks for the help in advance!

Other posts mentioned the distributor, I'm going to suggest the distributor cap specifically. Even if there's not a visible crack or damage, typical symptoms of a bad distributor cap are hard starting and rough running/stalling in humid weather. It's cheap and easy to replace on the B21F engine too. If that doesn't fix it, other ignition system components may be the culprit (coil, ignition wires, etc).

Have you replaced or checked the fuel pump relay? It should be above the hood pull.

Humidity can affect the contacts (just like the battery terminals acting up when it's raining).

You also should check the distributor and related wiring for cracks, corrosion, or damage.
