    rear window 120-130

I have about 6 (all very nice) sedan rear windows
in my shed. I actually might have more of them.
I also know where there are about 6 to 7 more.

I had no idea they were really scare.

None of them are heated unfortunately. :o(

I also have pleanty of original rear side windows
for the wagons if anyone ever needs one.

    Cheers,

    karl

I dunno. I bought my windshield from Volvo in late 2005 for $200.00.
They had a few shipping issues getting it here, but they gave me no indication that they were impossible to get new. I've never heard that rear windshields are hard to find, but I've not looked into it.

Still, that's a good price, worth picking up a spare.

AFAIK the front glass is readily available, but the rear isn't produced anymore and so is scarce. But they're also not as likely to get pitted or broken as the front!

        Hey Tom
I'm holding out for a heated one. They're still available and a couple of years ago I started a thread to try and drum up interest in ordering a dozen, or enough to make it financially worthwhile to get them to the east coast.

Steamed rear window in a 122 is a drag. I think there's even a lead in the trunk to feed the heating element (at least in my 67 - I could be mistaken. Anybody (Ron) know if that's the case?

I'll see if I can find the source for the heated rear window.

heated rear window from CVI 120-130

CVI has 'em for $202. I believe that VP (Veteran Produkter) had them as well. Maybe I'll email their US branch and see what the story is.

Or, then again, maybe with global warming, the need for a rear window defroster will become less necessary.

heated rear window from VP 120-130

Christian doesn't stock them in NC. Go figure. He's checking availability, lead time, cost and will get back to me.

My question is whether or not there are enough people (5-10?) within a reasonable radius of somewhere on the east coast who would be interested in getting a heated rear windshield.

Shipping cost would be from NC to somehwere around NY area, though I'd go further south or north depending upon interest.

I've always wanted a rear defroster too. Some time ago I heard the holes below the board on the rear parcel shelf were originally designed for small blowers to defog the glass. I doubt it, but that would be cool.
