has anyone done this? any idea of what oil trap/ orifice/ screen to use? i am pretty new to owning an amazon, and this one is a 61 with an overbored B18 (basically a B20 now).. it has some sort of road draft tube fitted to the side, it's not blocked, but im getting some excessive pressure still (partially due to blow-by from worn rings). i'd like to set it up with some kind of positively vented system. im going to do the rings soon, but i still think a PCV would be beneficial. if anyone can offer any advice, please do. im not afraid of fabrication, or making more modifications, as it's already quite a hybrid. thanks!

I stand corrected. Phil has it right. Breather cap to air cleaner,flametrap to manifold with pcv valve in between.Does your breather cap have a hose fitting or not?

Get the haynes manual that covers 120s and 1800s from the sixties early seventies. You will be well served by it in other areas and it will explain different pcv set ups used in the b18 and b20 engines

The part that goes in the block has a hose that runs to a device that goes between the air cleaner and first carb some air cleaners have a metal tube for the hose and you don't need the device, I have seen pcv valves spliced into the hose though I don't think that is original.What happen to the b 16 is it still six volt m4 or m40

The factory PCV routing for a B18 is:

Forward air cleaner -> oil filler cap w/ flame trap mesh -> crankcase -> oil trap teardrop -> PCV valve -> intake manifold.

the previous owner installed the 2.0L B18 in '85 or '86. 12 volt, front disc brakes, chrysler alternator, 15" chrysler wheels. currently has M40, may possibly swap for an M41.. i actually just got the car a few weeks ago, and it's my first amazon, so im still learning about all of this.:-)!

What year is your B18?
I've got a can from a '67 B18. I'm not sure this would fit an early B18 though.

The teardrop from any B18 will fit any other B18.

There's an oil trap teardrop for later B18s that's a direct replacement for the road draft tube, and one from an early B20 would also fit (late B20 traps have a larger stub that won't fit into the hole in the block).

No flame trap screen is used in the trap if you use a PCV valve from the trap to the manifold -- instead, there's mesh in the oil filler cap, which gets vented to the front air filter.
