92 245 rear window washer spray nozzle. 200 1992

Having trouble getting window washer fluid to come out of the rear spray nozzle. Pump works fine, hose is good all the way to the rear gate opening, but nothing comes out the nozzle. I tried the compressed air trick to try and blow out the blockage with no luck. So I have two questions:

1: Is there a simple way to clean out the spray nozzle without removing/replacing it?
2: What is the secret handshake that is needed to remove the nozzle?

Any help will be greatly appreciated... just tracking down the last few nuisance issues on this 245.

Thanks,

jorrell

May be able to get at it by dropping the headliner a few inches. Then using a long-nose pliers to compress the barbs on the nozzle. I've never done it. I have a new nozzle just waiting for the day I rip the old one out.

Meanwhile, I use a solid wire to ream out the nozzles every couple months.

It snaps in there, and probably will break off the barbs that secure it.
I contemplated removing it for paint,
but only the triangular one for a 240 was available,
    not the round 140 variety.
Poke it with a pin to dislode the debris.
If you do remove it secure the feed tube to
    avoid a fishing expedition.

This one may be a bit different than what you and Bluegoose are familiar with. It is mounted on the hatch just above the rear glass and is a black rectangular piece of plastic. The spray actually seems to come out of a slot rather than a pin hole like the ones on the hood. The hose that feeds it actually runs from the passenger side pillar into the gap/sill between the hatch and the body, the hose enters the backside of the hatch about one inch to the right of where the nozzle is.

I'll see if I can clear it with a stiff wire, if not, I'll buy a new nozzle assuming the old one will break when it comes out.

      Thanks!

        hello
i believe the one you have is like a couple i have taken apart.
just pry it off and there will still be the mounting base, as it is a two piece unit.
the removeable piece kinda snaps onto a nipple with barbs.
at least thats my experience with the slotted typs nozzle sprayer.
        good luck
