Wiring to main fuel pump 200 1983

I just finished replacing the main fuel pump and accumulator on the '83. Aside from the normal rust/corrosion issues job went well. One issue, the insulation on both wires to the fuel pump had crumbled. I wrapped both wires with electrical tape and put a piece of heat-shrink tube over the taped wires and sealed the ends of the tubing with RTV, this is working for now. I noted that the fuel pump wiring passes through a grommet on the underside of the car. Does this plug into the wiring harness and can a replacement be ordered or am I looking at having to splice good wire in (I consider the current repair temporary). Thanks in advance.

John

The fuel pump harness terminates under the back seat, where it is grounded and conects to the car harness via a spade conector. Replacements are still available from volvo, providing your parts guy knows where to look for the part #.
