I have a 92 740 n/t wagon. Why can the yellow top Bosch 0280150556 not be used in a Regina FI system? Or CAN they? Does the Regina system only use the blue top injectors? Can someone explain the difference?

Might be a different duty factor between the different injectors. Not sure. I think the Bosch injectors have a slightly higher resistance (16ohms vs. 14 and change).

I *can* say that it's not a clear cut case of yellow vs. blue. Our '91 with Regina has 3 yellow and 1 blue (or vice-versa) all have the same part number on them.

The reason I ask is there is a sale on Ebay of the yellow Bosch top with the numbers I posted in my first thread for 144.00 brand new. Looked like a fine deal to me, but only if they would work in my R/R!

For what it's worth, our '91 745 w/ Regina has ~300K miles on the injectors with nary a problem. So I'd say (from your signature) that you have about 210K miles to not worry too much about it. :-)

You can get a used set of guaranteed Regina injectors for $25, and then get them refurbished/inspected/etc for pretty cheap... I can't remember the name of the company that does it. That's what I'm planning on doing with the spare set that I have floating around.
