***1991-740 Turbo** Wagon FLame trap Air cleanout 700

A mechanic told me I have a flame trap?
I have yet to find it. I know there is some kind of upgrade in these years?
I would however like to know what I should be cleaning as far as air vents in the engine. Can anybody guide or direct me? thanks

The turbo doesn't have a flame trap, but it does have a similar housing in the same location as a normally aspirated car. Replacing this housing is a good idea, but the more likely trouble source is the oil separator underneath it at the block.

If this system is clear there is a much lesser chance of oil seal leaks. This is an often-neglected part of maintaining these cars.

    Good luck!
