940 GL troubles- need help/advice 900 1991

Hi all,
my sister's 1991 940GL is having some issues and I have no clue as to what is causing them. The first issue is- the coolant temp sensor isn't working on the dash. Our mechanic checked it and said that nothing is coming from the computer for a temp reading to the dash. The second issue is that the AC isn't working correctly. Our mechanic checked the freon level and said it was almost completely full- but compressor and fan we not activating. He thinks that is also related to something electrical or in the computer, because he could use a "hot" wire to activate the compressor, but the fan didn't come on. And the last issue is- the ABS light came on when my dad was trying to put the car in gear. He had to turn the car off, restart, and then was able to put the car in gear. So is this all computer related or indication of a bad computer or what? I'm at a loss, cause I've got a 1983 240 and I'm not seeing any similarities to probs I've had. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks again all!

Coolant temp sensor: see the FAQ section on Engine:Sensors. I suspect the sensor or the wiring is not working
A/C: could be many things, check the FAQ
ABS sensor: sounds like dirty wheel sensor. See FAQ section on ABS: Brakes

    hello don
did you have a look through the 700/900 FAQ?
it may not answer all your questions but can help understand how some of the items function.
    good luck
