SU to SU Fuel Hose Line Options? 444-544 1958

What do you guys suggest for the type of hose to use to interconnect my SU carbs on my '58 444? I am running Petroflex between the fuel supply line to the fuel pump and between the fuel pump and the first SU. I'd love to use the same, however, it doesn't appear that I can use a pre-fitted/threaded hose between the carbs. What are you guys using? Do you have sources? Pictures?

Thanks in advance,

BINGO! Here's the piece you seek! 444-544 1958

There's one ebay now! They're spec'ing it for a B18, but we know better.

    Hope you get it!

It looks like the proper fittings, but I'd ask the length from fitting to fitting. Mine, on the B16B and my spare are 15" long.

Tony: If you don't snag this one, I have 2 sets of the bango fittings with tips that would take generic rubber fuel hose, so this must have been a replacement option.

Hi Tony: I see you're online so here's an early picture from my B16B Amazon-S:

These do crop up on ebay and I'll see if I have a spare or two. The fitting on the HS-4 SU is a brass "banjo" connector, held in place by a large bolt and washer. Have agreat day.

Looks like the classic, good old banjo fittings... this car came up for sale recently locally....

Perhaps it would be easiest though if you could post a picture of exactly what you have (or don't have as the case may be)

IIRC the B16 has the float bowls outboard of the carbs, unlike the HS6 carbs and I think there is a long connecting line with "banjo" fittings. I don't know if you can replace just the hose or not. I remember seeing one on ebay a couple or three months ago. It might just be a dealer item. I'd think CVOLVO 'Cam' will have the answer or workaround if not the actual fuel line.

That is correct. I couldn't come up with a safe alternative, but did come up with all three hoses new (line to pump, pump to carb, carb to carb). Contact me off the board for a possible source...

At 3 psi it doesn't take much!
I use regular rubber ¼" low pressure fuel line hose.
Works fine, needs no clamp, at least until it gets old,
and the 2½" or so required is pretty cheap.
