I have a strange occurance when I put my shift into reverse. The rpm.s drop and the car sometimes stalls or attempts to. This doesn't happen always and has me baffled.

Check the FAQS for other suggestions, but I would start by cleaning the throttle body and IAC. The symptom is not as odd as you think.
