Would anyone have experience with switching the internal rear hatch latch mechanism between Volvo wagon models? I presume that any year 700 series would fit my 1990 745. How about the mechanism from a 900 series wagon? TIA

    I made just this swap. I have a '90 745T and I moved the latch over to the door from a '93 945 after a little accident. I'd assume you can do the reverse too.

      I did the reverse of PorBrick -- but took the whole rear door from an '87 745, and put it on a '93 945. Then I swapped the original latch mechanism into the replacement door so that it used the same key as the other doors.
