I've looked all over this site... Is there another auto, truck or whatever that has a direct replacement engine for the d24. I want another diesel but It's hard to find a good running Volvo diesel. I'm just wondering what VW or audi has the same diesel engine that I could just take the engine out of and bolt into my 240

    The only one you'll find in N America that's a drop in is the Audi 5000 (aka 100) 2.0L 5 cyl turbo diesel BUT they are smaller and very likely to be in the same condition as any Volvo 2.4L 6 cyl.

    Are you in the US?

    If you are, then the answer is "No".

    If you are in Europe, look for a Volkswagen LT Transporter. This is the original vehicle for this engine. No, this is no relation to the Transporter/Vanagon sold in the US.

    If you want a good-running 245Diesel, just ask. Mine is always for sale.
