Gray bottom plastic door trim coming off 200

Hi all,

Both my drivers and passenger side front doors have the gray, outside lower trim peeling off. What's the best type of glue to use to re-attach it?

I've peeled the small trim piece and side logo off a damaged front fender I scraped a little while age. It had some black stuff that stuck like crazy but stayed semi-flexible allowing me to carefully remove the trim if needed with out damage to the paint or trim.

Any ideas where I can buy such goop?

Thanks,
Mark

At least in 89 and 90, they used Scotch double sided VHB (Very High Bond)tape. You can get a roll of it from outfits like Advance Auto Parts, under a name like adhesive trim tape.

The bad part is that you will have to peel/scrape all the old tape off until the trim and paint is totally clean. From there, cut the tape to the needed width and length, then peel one side and put the strips on the trim. Carefully position the trim and press it against the door, you only get one shot at this, so make sure it's in the correct position.

I second Jorrell's advice - n.m.i. 200
