Changing Differential Oil 900 1993

Hi, this feels like a dumb question, but I can't figure it out. I just read the faq procedure about changing the gear oil, but now I can't find the fill plug. There's something that looks like a drain/refill plug to me on the BACK of the diff...lefthand/drivers side about a third of the way up from the bottom on the back cover. I don't see or feel anything on the TOP of the diff as mentioned in the faq, though. If it's not that thing on the back, can someone point me in the right direction to find it? Thanks.

What kind of car? Independent rear suspension or live axle?

Details, details. :) '93 944. The axle tag fell off, but it was a 1041, if that makes a difference.

The fill plug for that differential is on the back of the diff, about 2/3 up. The Bottom cover bolt is the drain bolt.
