overdrive slipping or not...85 240 turbo conversion 200

well ,after reading some posts about overdrive I adjusted the clutch which raised the contact point for the pedal and now the "overdrive "issue has gone although I do not understand clutch adjustment physics...make it a good day ,Kris

    Kris,

    The only physics involved is friction. Well, there is some leverage involved but it isn't necessary to consider leverage to understand how a misadjusted clutch can cause the clutch to slip.

    Lever type and cable actuation are identical at the clutch/flywheel interface; where slip happens.
