Aftermarket clear taillight lenses... Whom to go with. 200

So I found out that before I got my car, the taillight bulb mount had basically sheared off and I will need a whole new taillamp assembaly, or some seriously creative way to keep it in there, to ever make it work again. The last owner used a few finishing screws to screw it in and keep it mounted to the circuit board...

****.

So I have been thinking about swapping over to new taillights with clear turn signals for a little while. Figure now is the time right? So I want some that are pretty close fitment to factory (for oubvious reasons)
I've got about 3 different options.
One:
Alvo. Made in Estonia, commonly found on eBay, Figure they'll cost me about $230 USD.

Yes, they do make ones that are also not all clear but red with clear turn signals. I asked.
This kit is nice because it includes all new gaskets, lenses, bulbs, etc...

Two:

One t-bricker has had them for some time on his brick. Like four years. He seems to like them, says they're not PERFECT, but are VERY good. Expensive though. 1,950 Denmark Kroner is about $354USD. Plus Shipping from Denmark. Yikes!

Three:

VBS - Volvo Boutique Shop - from thailand. I know of nobody who has these, and just recently came to my attention.
It's nice, because they're DAMNED CHEAP - but sometimes you get what you pay for... Who knows how much shipping might be, as well.

So I'm just really not sure. what do all of you think? Your opinions would be GREATLY appreciated!

Alvo is good stuff. I had Alvo tails on mine until recently and they look fine. One of them leaked a bit but not enough to pop the bulb so I left it alone. The fit is pretty good, but not as flush and perfect as OEM.

I agree that all-clear will look a littly ricey, but if you like the look, go for it!

hello,

i bought a pair from a website called www.lampsandlenses.com

the pair were $100 and came with new boards, sockets and even bulbs.

they look nice, and my only complaint is that they weren't completely sealed and sometimes a bit of water seeps in. but, for $100, i think they're worth it compared to $240 plus.

i mean, i love my 240, but it is 17 years old.

my thoughts

Guess I been in the JY's way too much lately, and 200

The wagons don't have much trouble with the tail lites.
There is always the Flea-bay JY,but you gotta be careful there.
I dunno it just struck me as a bit of dough for a two four oh.
I mean 2 bills for used bars,2 bills for 15" wheels,
and you can feel it when you drive.
Guess I should'a put that in OPINIONS..
Seriously,
All the best,
Ken

I can agree. If you want your 240 to stand out among other 240's in the lighting department, get a set of European headlamps and turn signals. :)

Another option has just been brought to my attention.
http://www.radicast.se/cgi-bin/ibutik/AIR_ibutik.pl?funk=visa_artikel&artgrp=52&artnr=001&visa=1-30&Sort=Beskr&Visn=Std

Again though we're looking at almost $400 USD

Ah you thought I was going all 100% clear? Ugh no, ricey indeed! I'm just looking for the clear treatment on the actual turn signal lenses, and keeping the rest red. Just to set it apart a little bit, basically. What can I say, I'm just no fan of amber... =p
Also I would like to update the look a little, and if I can do it for the same price as a brand spanking new aftermarket single taillight, and get what I REALLY wanted since I got the car, then so be it.

Oh and as far as europ headlights go, yes, I have e-codes waiting to go on complete with aftermarket corner lights... Not the standard half amber half clear euro signals, like fully clear ones...
