the 12 v. reach stop switch,when pedal is depresed the 12 v goes almost zero,is any relay in the way,can I buy a good wiring diagram.thank you. Cheche

    1) Get the best wiring diagram, the Volvo Service Manual, Wiring Diagrams, for the 1986 240. Call 1-800-25-VOLVO or go to www.volvotechinfo.com

    2) The only relay between the frake light switch and the brake lights is the Bulb Failure Warning System relay. It is located at the far left side on the dash, just above the knee pad. It is a large cylindrical unit, with gang of wires going to it.

    There are fuses, are they OK. Pull out to check. They can look OK and be busted.
