Trunk for '92 940 GL 900

Looks like I'll be needing to find a trunk lid for my car. Apparently the tough winter (salt, that is) has started to rust the bottom right corner. Seems like it would be better to find a decent lid from a junk yard and have it sprayed the correct color. Can anyone in the Rochester, NY area suggest yards I might check into? Thanks.

I paid $50 for a trunk lid at a pick and pull with the lights. Removal is a pain, from the back deck, after the seat back is removed. If you can remove it yourself, it is good training. A painter friend, on the side, did some misc painting for me. I think it took a just a pint of base coat and a pint of clear coat. This hovered at around $175 for the paint and labor with a small ding fix, but mostly material cost.

Total was $225 and it could not have been done for less. Check around at body shops for the painting costs so you don’t get shocked. If you do your own painting you are far ahead.

The yard in Bergen had a 940 or two last summer. They don't seem to be in too much of a hurry to crush cars either. Bring boots, it's a mudfest. There's also a place near Utica that might be able to help (www.erievovo.com) IIRC.
