oil cooler 90' 700

sorry about that one. Anyways, I was wondering where the oil cooler is located in a 90' plus 740 turbu w/ e-fan. I wan to convert my 89 turbo to the e-fan style with bigger intercooler and radiator, but the oil cooler is in the way. Any comments would be very helpful.

thanks,

brant

Rather than using air flow to cool the oil, the newer 740/940 turbos use engine coolant to cool the oil. In addition to better packaging, it helps to warm the oil up a little quicker in the winter. The cooler is located on the adapter between the oil filter and the block. You'll see two coolant lines running to it (half rotten from dripping oil, most likely).
