Thanks you guys, yeah, you caught me in time. I have made a habit out of checking and double checking before I go into unfamiliar territory - I can be a PITA sometimes because I ask so any questions BEFORE I do it. Wish I took that approach the other day when the 244 took an autopilot cruise !
On a lighter not, today I managed to revive a vintage 1972 Fender Bassman 100W Pure Tube hand wired bass amplifier.l This thing sounds sweeeeeeettt. I picked up in a trade for a non working 12 year old Simplicity 18 HP Lawn Tractor with a 3 blade 42" Mower deck (I got it for doing about 1 hours worth of computer installation at a guys house and one hours' worth of training)..
- I spent 11.00 for a couple of ceramic resistors that were smoked and fired it up, (2 - 470 Ohm, 1 Watt 5% and 2 - 100 Ohm 1/2 Watt 10% resoldered them in and the damn thing came back to life first try. Now, Needless to say the wife is locked in our bedroom with the iPod on reading books that don't even have any pictures (what a loser she is eh ?).......If I had ANY balls, I would go up there and give her one of those gouges on the side of her head with the electric hair trimmers like they do on that show Jackass.....On second thought, nah, I might damage the trimmers.
This AMP is a great tool to find the loose plaster joints in the walls and ceiling..
Thanks again you guys, I guess I need to get some long stem chrome lugs to go with the alloy Dracos.
