Little question about the incoming new struts 200

Ok, I've read that some of the new stuts come with the new four bolts that go in the bottom of the tube? This correct? Or is it just a chore to run to the dealership to pay $35 for 8 new bolts?

Tim

If you are talking about the four small bolts at the bottom of the strut tube that hold the ball joint to the strut tube, yes, they should be replaced with new ones if you remove them. They are not expensive. However, you should not have to remove them to replace the strut inserts. I'm sure it's not necessary on an 81 or newer anyway.

    Bolts???
    Struts??
Are we talking new struts, or new strut INSERTS???
In any case, no new bolts.
Inserts, on the other hand, generally come with new nuts.

I too have never seen bolts come with new struts (just the top nut).

And I have always reused the bolts I took out.

I've never seen the bolts included with any struts. They should only cost around .65 each at the dealer. I don't think you need to remove them unless your changing the spacer located in the bottom of the strut tube.
