Owl noise at highway speeds. 200

It's an '89 240 wagon.
When I'm going between 50 and 70 mph and I put a little right pressure on the steering I can hear what sounds like an owl hooting for as long as I keep the pressure on.
Could it be bearings? Or brakes?
It otherwise seems pretty smooth.
Any ideas?
Thanks for any information you may have.

without more information it's hard to say for sure.

    some easy stuff:

repack wheel bearings, check belt tension, replace belts, tyre pressure even?, possible bearing going bad in a/c or alt. for example, make sure hose clamps are tight on intake & IAC valve.
