Oil pressure switch/sender leaking badly - Which socket should I use to replace?? 200 1990

Just ordered a new o. p. switch from FCP Groton. Could use any tips from you good folks.

Anyone know the size/depth socket to use? BTW - Doesn't look very easy to get at...

Also, does the wire pop right off the top? It looks like some sort of plastic clip holds it on. Can't really tell, even after doing a quick cleaning there is still too much oil there :)

Gracias,
Jim

I repaired mine last night until I get a new one. Jack up car and work socket from beneath.

"My Oil Sender Sensor was leaking oil, not from around it, but from
INSIDE it. So, I screwed in a brass screw in the hole, sealed it with
JB Weld and now we have NO LEAKS.

I'm going to order a new sensor and wire, but I was leaking oil like a
bleeding soldier in a M*A*S*H episode.

Finally, after driving 20 minutes - bone dry.

Kind of makes you want to sing, "do a little dance, make a little
love, get down tonight! Get down tonight!"

    (or maybe not...)

22 mm deep dish socket, (this is from memory) the same size that fits the oil pan nut.

Take off the battery leads loose first, the alt + terminal is just a turn of the wrench away.

    Good Luck,

    PT

On my '92, it takes a 24 mm or 15/16" deep socket.
