Adjusting Clock - 1991-745T instrument cluster 700

I pulled the above cluster at the yard last week. It looks like it will fit into my 940. There are some minor wiring differences, but I have the Green Book for my 940 and hope to figure it out.

The clock is a slight puzzle - there's no manual adjustment knob. What we have, are two wires going into a plug in the back of the clock housing, a Red and a Blue/Green. These do not power the clock - it gets power and ground through its mounts on the PC board. I've bench tested and it works fine.

I'm guessing the two wires are the means of adjusting the clock's hands, but does anyone know specifically how this is done? Is there some sort of module that these wires connect to that I should go back and find? Thanks.

    Adjusting Clock - 1991-745T instrument cluster 700

The clock is adjusted from the 'switch' module that also houses the dimmer for all the dash lights. It sits just to the left of the column in my 91T. There is a vertical slide and two small arrow buttons to move the clock backwards and forwards.

      Adjusting Clock - 1991-745T instrument cluster 700

Thanks for the info. That switch was gone from the car I pulled the cluster from. The dash and console had been pretty well ravaged. In my odds 'n ends box I dug out a switch somewhat like you describe, but with no provision for adjusting the instrument lights' brightness. It has a clock icon near the top and below are two buttons, one with a right arrow, one with a left.

The back of it has 5 wires: Red, Green, Blue, Brown with Black stripe, White with Yellow stripe. I have no idea how these wires interact with the clock or the rest of the dash harness. Anyone have a 91 diagram?
