wtf? wiper woes.... 200

well, rover's back on the road and it seems like everything has to break and get the bugs out at once. my old wiper motor was on its way out for a while and i figured it just quit on me. so i replaced it with one out of a junker, and this one won't turn off!!! it will go through the different speeds, just not shut off - any ideas? i pulled the relay and it looks good. i can't survive on rain-x for the rest of my life...help!

You need to determine whether the problem is in your "new" wiper motor or in the way it is wired. If it is not the exact replacement, even though the plugs fit together, the wire positions may not be the same. Here is a page that shows how most every wiper motor works. There are variations to this of course. You need the wiring diagram for your car to apply the information shown on this page to your wiring and motor:

BTW, have you disassembled the original motor? Bearing Supply Houses in most larger towns can match most any bearing and brushes should be available from almost any place that deals with motors. Maybe you can refurb your original motor.

Hi!

TRY to check the contact blades inside, clean them. There is 3 screws, and under cover You will find those. Hope that will solved the problem.
