TYRE PRESSURE+TYRE TYPE 444-544

Hi all
Can some one tell me the difference between 165 SR 15 and 165 R 15 or are they the same.

One final thing. I have 32psi on the front and 34psi on the rear tyres. Is it possible that it should be the other way round.

Thanknig you in advance.

Sunil

The "S" in 165SR15 is the speed rating, in this case 112 mph. The 165R15 may also have a speed rating, but it could be in the service description that follows the size. For instance, 165/80R15 87T would be a "T" speed rated tire, good for 118 mph. (87 is the load index, in this case a tire load capacity of 1201 lbs).

IMO, inflation pressures of 32 psi should be fine, both front and rear. You could gain a bit softer ride with lower pressures, but handling and fuel economy would suffer.
