'89 to '93 Rear Lens 200 1993

I replaced a cracked Rear Lens on a '93 with a decent one from an '89.
The circuit board on both is the same - D66552.
Now, the 2 rear brake lights don't work when the lights are on.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Check fuse 7 or 12, I don't remember which controls it.. I swapped a 92 model assembly onto my 89 and had no problems..They were both left side units..By the way if yours is an automatic then you will not be able to take the tranny out of park if it has to do with anything in the brake electrical system before it goes back to the tailights. I think I said that right..

First thing to check is the lower outer bulb holders. Right side must be white, left side must be black.

Post back if that doesn't solve the problem.

Good Luck,

Bob

I did actually swap a black bulb holder for the white on the right side.
Wow, I had no idea it made a difference. I'll check it later.
Thanks Bob.
