On an otherwise perfect car, 172k I am second owner & have had it 5 years, the Bulb Failure Indication has always been it's nemesis. Being a 945, the rear bulbs get shaken enough to keep me busy tweaking them to extinguish a flashing or steady BF light. I lost brake lights & with your help found it to be the BF relay. $25 used, $150 new, I went used. Last problem was an intermittant BF light with low beam headlights on, but everything worked. Found a smoked ground connection on rt headlight connector. Replaced connector pigtail & lamp. All lights worked but then had steady BF light on! I had to go out of town for a week & the car sat at the airport. I tried to troubleshoot it from 500 miles away with the help of the Brickboard. On return I cleaned both side spade ground connections, no joy. I then replaced the left side lamp & BINGO! BF Light out. All these things were recomended by posters. There is a lesson in there. I love my RWD Volvo, but I feel the Bulb Failure circuit was way over engineered. Thanks again! Brad
