new wagon springs 200

Would a pair of brand new Moog Wagon springs make the rear end of a Sedan look too high? Or isn't there too much difference in Wagon v. Sedan spring length? These are regular, not overload springs.

Unless you have a special reason (trailering, etc.) I wouldn't put wagon springs on a sedan. I would try some of the variable rate sedan springs available at rockauto.com and other places.

I see no good reason to jack up the rear end of a 240 and lots of reasons not to.

If you are looking for crisper handling then uprated sway bars and fresh high quality shock absorbers are the place to start.

Wagon springs will raise the rear end about an inch and a half or so. I have wagon springs on 2 sedans and today put a set of overload sedan springs on another sedan. The rear is up a bit but when you load them down with cargo or people it does not sag. I like them. Dan

Does the car look awkward when empty? Its usually just me driving it.

I don't think it looks awkward, to me it looks healthy. I'd rather see the rear end up than sagging. Dan

Here's a question then: Dan, does your sedan handle any tighter in corners with the wagon springs? I may be able to scrounge some free wagon springs, was wondering if it would improve handling, unloaded OR loaded.

It probably does not improve handling if you are into autocross, lower at both ends is the way to go. I don't think it degrades handling for everyday street use. I have IPD sway bars on all my 240s and quality shocks. The junk yard is the place to get them cheaply and they work fine. I kept a set or rear wagon springs from my dearly departed (de-parted in many ways) 85 245. Dan
