Those will just fall apart after a while and this is well documented source of fuel pump relay failure and flooded floor boards. That doughnut is a dealer part by the way. To get the motor off first remove the glove box (9 Screws I think). You will see a clip holding the arm mechanism onto the motor shaft way up at the top. You may want to dry that floor board before doing this. Take that clip off and do not loose it. Use a 10mm socket and take the bolt that holds small arm to the motor shaft.
On the top side you will remove the bolts that hold the wiper motor to the fire wall. Be carefull not to loose any of the washers and grommets under the bolts and motor. Now you can lift the motor away from the fire wall and get to the doughnut grommet. Clean the area real well and get all that old gooey black junk off. You may want to wear some gloves during this part. The secret to making this last and leak free is to put a heaping pile of non-hardening Gasket sealant around the doughnut after you install it. Also put it between the top of the doughnut and the motor housing. I have also seen pump packing sealant used if you have any of that around.
Using the Hayes Manual install in the reverse of the removal will get the motor back in. Check and make sure that you have a good ground to the chassis and that your contacts are not too heavy corroded. Turn you wipers on and make sure that the arm is on correctly and the wipers stop at the bottom and no the top. Move the arm on the motor shaft 180 degrees if that happens.
Good Luck,
PT
