front vent seals 120-130 1960

Hello Amazon owners

I am attemptig to replace the front wing vent seals on my 1960 122s. I am looking for a shortcut to removing the entire front window guide. I would appreciate anyones experience with this job.

Thanks

Some of the old rubber is riveted into the frame. I believe the frame has to be out to drill out the old and rivet in the new.

Go slow and be careful pulling the interior window trim to avoid scratches.

I think that in thorey you can change them with out pulling the frame out of the door but I think it reality, you are better off to pull the 4 shaped frame out of the door and do it that way... I have changed them with the frame out of the car and it was easy... Sorry...

Have done that and don't know of a short cut, short (?) of cutting the seal.
