The hose from the MAF (aka AMM) is usually holed over time, get a new one.

Should not be much, $25 or less. Check with other BB advertisers.

The duct leading onto the AMM is another matter. I had one split on the seam, fixed with electrical tape.

Look in a junk yard, it's easy to tell if it is no good.

Good Luck,

Bob

Is there a good salvage yard nearby, preferably of the self-service variety?

fcp groton lists it - problem? 200

Not in stock at fcp groton? Or some other issue?
I know it's listed there; maybe on the tuneup page?

Self service junkyard is a decent idea.
Just remember, it's an expendable part, meaning it gets worn and needs replacing. So a used one has to be checked for cracks and may not last as long as a new one.
