Just woke up and it wouldn't start 200 1988

Today it just refused to start. It turns over and the battery is strong and I've checked the fuses(including the 25 amp under the hood) and I think they are all okay. thinking it could be my fuel relay, is there a way to test it without digging in to physically inspect it? If anyone has some good places to start looking I would appreciate it.

Fuel pump relay sounds like the likely source of trouble. It's the #1 reason for these cars getting towed. Your 88 does not have the crank sensor or power stage, so that eliminates a couple of possible failure points that plague the later model cars.

If the relay proves ok, check the wiring at the alternator: a friend's 88 refused to start a couple times with the small red alternator wire grounding out. His harness had been damaged months before when the car threw the alternator belts.

Good luck with it!

That 25Amp underhood fuse can look fine (not blown) but have poor contact in its holder due to corrosion. Remove and insert it several times then try the starter.
