Oil filter is on motor mount; simple to replace? 200

Can I jack the engine somewhere to get it off the motor mount. I am draining the oil now, didn't notice the problem until went to loosen the filter. Are the motor mounts fairly simple to replace?

do not jack your engine by the oil pan -as tempting as it may seem.

ask me how I know.

read over the FAQ and Dave's website.

jack from the transmission or find another way.

Remember the mount comes out as an assembly. DON'T try to lift the Engine up high to get the Three bottom Studs out. Just take off teh three bottom Nuts, support the engine, then take out the smaller bolts that are in the Block from the upper mount bracket.

I just did this a couple of weeks ago. Here are two threads discussing the issue. One is the pre-job questions and the other are the lessons learned.

see the FAQ - link inside 200

This is for 700 series cars, I'd expect the 240 is similar/same.
