Upgrading to 940 Sedan from 740 Turbo Wagon 900

I currently drive a good working '92 740 Turbo Wagon with 152,000 miles that was my first Brick purchased 3 years ago with only 132,000 miles. I have replaced the usual parts on this great machine, timing belt, water pump, all hoses, Heater Core, exhaust system, fuel filter,FPR, tires, blower motor and some other parts.
I'm thinking of getting a '93-'95 940 Sedan, preferably a Turbo and was wondering if you Bricksters can give me some input on this, good or bad.

THANX

Tom & Jeff,
Thanks for the feedback. Both of you have confirmed my doubts about doing this trade.Especially the fact that I definitely will not be able to recoup my original purchase price of my 740, let alone what I have spent on it already.
It would take a better maintained '93-'95 with not more than 120,000 miles to change my mine. Plus like you said the wagon has been more than adequate for hauling almost anything I get at Home Depot & Lowes.

Since time is on your side keep an eye out for the best you can find, condition and mileage. 95% of them are in the deferred maintenance mode and need a lot of catch up work. I drive both a turbo and two normally aspirated versions. If I had to pick one, I’d take the non-turbo for the economy. The ’94 and ’95s have the cylinder oil squirters and dual air bags. Normally aspirated 940s will have a Rex/Regina ignition/fuel system or an EZ116K/LH2.4. Either one is just as dependable.

Warning on the sedan that you want. Unless you have a pickumup truck you’ll miss the wagon.

Tom Welcoming a new addition to the family. Its, well, a 944 with tilt steering.

It's essentially the same car. If yours is well maintained, I'd say hold on to it, because every time you buy a new/used car, you're exposing yourself to a degree of risk. At least you know what you have with yours. Besides, you'd get an insultingly low price for your perfectly good 740.

Just my 3 cents... adjusted for inflation.
