Cleaning fuel injectors 200

I am doing an engine swap in my '87 and have to pull the fuel injectors to move them to the '92 engine that I'm putting in. While they're out, is there a good way to clean them up? Can I soak them in something? Thanks.

Just about any diesel injection shop will have an ultrasonic cleaner . they'll run them through test them and give them back with new orings and caps for a fairly civilized price

I sent 2 sets off for cleaning one set from an 85 with 200K miles, neither set needed cleaning. I was suprised at how good they tested before cleaning, they were virtually the same after testing. Use some Chevron techron (sp) and save your $ for something you need. Dan

Better yet, buy Chevron premium gas - at $0.12 more per gallon, you get injector cleaner for every tank at a mere $1.44 per tank (12 gal tank) instead of $4-6 of the bottle. Plus, you know you're getting clean, non-alcoholed gas (except some states that require all gas to be gasohol over winter).
